Short answer. The crypto exchanges that do not require KYC are decentralized exchanges (DEXs): you connect your own wallet (or log in with an email) and trade without uploading a passport or selfie. The best no-KYC exchange for trading is Hyperliquid ($4–8B of daily perp volume, 0.045% taker, 4% off with code HOLYGRAIL); Lighter charges 0% on its Standard account; Aster, edgeX, dYdX, Pacifica and Ondo Perps also work without ID, and Uniswap and Jupiter cover spot swaps. To get coins in without an account, use a non-custodial swap aggregator or a P2P market (section 6); card on-ramps always verify ID. Two limits: every venue bars some countries (most bar the US), and no KYC is not anonymity. Several centralized exchanges that "no-KYC" lists still recommend, including MEXC and Bybit, now require verification on their own help pages.

Hyperliquid first: the deepest no-KYC order book, and our code takes 4% off your fees on your first $25M of volume. Fees are the base (no-volume) perp tier. Full sign-in, custody and country lists are in section 1; card on-ramps, swap aggregators and P2P are in section 6. If you plan to trade through a Hyperliquid app such as Based or Liquid, join with HOLYGRAIL on Hyperliquid first: the apps often attach their own code to wallets that have none, and the discount still applies to orders you place through them.

1. No-KYC crypto exchanges compared
Every row below was checked against the venue's own terms of service and documentation, first between September 24 and 27, 2026 and again on October 14, 2026, when we re-read all nine sets of terms in a browser and searched them for identity, KYC and country clauses. "Restricted" lists the countries the terms name explicitly; all of them also exclude sanctioned persons. Fees are the base (no-volume) tier for perpetuals unless the venue is spot-only.

Sources, all re-read October 14, 2026 with no change to the dates or country lists: Hyperliquid Terms of Use §1.6 (updated June 15, 2026); Lighter Terms of Service (updated December 29, 2025); Aster Terms & Conditions (February 25, 2026); edgeX Terms (updated March 24, 2026, §1.5); dYdX documentation, "Compliance", and help center, "Geo Restrictions & Site Access"; Pacifica Terms (June 11, 2026); Ondo Perps docs and Terms (August 21, 2026); Uniswap Labs Terms (July 28, 2026); Jupiter Terms of Use and developer fee table. Leverage caps for Hyperliquid, dYdX, Pacifica and Ondo Perps come from their public market APIs. The Hyperliquid, Lighter, edgeX and Pacifica Terms contain no identity-verification clause; Aster's §2.3 and Ondo Perps' clause 2(k) do. Japan is not named in any of these lists, though Ondo Perps' Terms also exclude any country where offering the service would require a licence, and terms change, so re-check before you sign up.
KYC levels used on this page. None: no identity step exists (wallet or email only). None by default, reserved: no ID today, but the terms allow the operator to ask (Aster; Ondo Perps can request AML documents under clause 2(k)). Optional (tiered): a centralized exchange lets you trade unverified with a withdrawal cap (CoinEx, Toobit, BloFin, KCEX). Required: ID before you can use the product (MEXC, Bybit, BingX, WEEX).
How we verified. We read each venue's terms of service and official docs or help center, not third-party roundups, and dated every check. Fees and leverage come from our facts registry, re-verified against official fee pages and market APIs; the Hyperliquid market count is fetched live at build time. We re-check the nine venues every month and move the date at the top when we do. We connected to Hyperliquid through our own referral link to confirm the sign-in flow asks for no documents (screenshot below).
2. Why DEXs don't need KYC
KYC ("know your customer") is an anti-money-laundering duty that falls on businesses that hold customer money or exchange it for fiat: banks, payment providers and centralized exchanges. A centralized exchange keeps your deposit in its own wallets and credits an account in your name, so regulators require it to know whose account that is.
A decentralized exchange works differently. There is no account in your name. Your wallet address is the account, your funds sit in a smart contract or on the exchange's own chain under rules nobody can override individually, and you approve every deposit, trade and withdrawal with your own signature. The company that builds the website never takes custody, never touches fiat, and has nothing to verify you against. That is why Hyperliquid, Lighter and the others can open a trading account in the time it takes to sign one message.
Two nuances matter. First, the website (the "interface") is still run by a company, and that company sets terms: it geo-blocks some countries and can refuse service. Second, some venues are only partly on-chain. Pacifica and Ondo Perps match orders off-chain and settle deposits and withdrawals on-chain, which is closer to a CEX in how much you trust the operator, even though neither asks for ID. Our guide to what a DEX is explains the models in more depth.
3. The 9 best no-KYC exchanges, reviewed
Numbers 1 to 7 are perpetual futures DEXs, which is what you want if you searched for a "no KYC futures exchange": you go long or short with leverage using USDC margin from your own wallet. Numbers 8 and 9 are spot swap DEXs. Live volume and open interest for the perp venues are on our perp DEX ranking.
1. Hyperliquid: best overall no-KYC exchange
Hyperliquid runs its own layer-1 chain (HyperCore) with a fully on-chain order book. Sign in with any EVM wallet (Rabby, MetaMask, WalletConnect, Coinbase Wallet) or with an email and a 6-digit code, click "Enable Trading" (a gas-free signature) and deposit USDC; native BTC, ETH and SOL deposits are accepted too, through the Unit protocol. It lists 178 perp markets (as of October 20, 2026), trades $4–8B of perps on a typical day (October 2026), and charges 0.045% taker / 0.015% maker at the base tier with no gas on orders. Leverage goes to 40x on BTC and 25x on ETH. Its Terms contain no identity-verification clause; they exclude the US, Ontario and sanctioned regions. Joining with code HOLYGRAIL takes 4% off your fees on the first $25M; details in our referral code guide and fee breakdown.

2. Lighter: lowest fees (0%)
Lighter is a zk-rollup order book on Ethereum. Standard accounts pay 0% maker and 0% taker on perps and spot, in exchange for slightly slower order processing (300 ms taker latency); opt-in Premium accounts pay 0.028% / 0.004% for faster execution. BTC and ETH go to 50x. You connect an Ethereum wallet; the account is created when your first deposit arrives. Its terms exclude a longer list than most: the US, Canada, the UK, China, Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela and sanctioned countries in the Prohibited Person clause, with Sudan, Belarus and Myanmar added in the opening notice. Referral code 718610TD rebates your first week of Premium fees.
3. Aster: highest leverage, with a caveat
Aster runs order-book perps (0% maker / 0.04% taker), a separate 1001x one-click mode that goes up to 1001x on BTC, and spot. You sign in with a Web3 wallet or an email address. One detail other lists miss: Aster's Terms (§2.3) say it "may implement limited identity verification procedures" and can limit service to users who don't comply. It does not ask for ID to trade today, but it reserves the right. Aster's order book also powers PancakeSwap's perps (see #8). Code: DTLpLc.
4. edgeX: 100x on BTC/ETH plus 96 stock perps
edgeX is a self-custodial order book on its own Ethereum-secured rollup (the Edge chain), with 178 tradable markets including 96 stock and ETF perps (its public market API, October 14, 2026). BTC and ETH go to 100x; fees are 0.045% taker / 0.040% maker at the Regular tier. Sign in with a wallet or an email (MPC wallet), and there is a mobile app. Its Terms (updated March 24, 2026, §1.5) exclude the US, Ontario (Canada) and sanctioned or export-controlled jurisdictions. Our edgeX code is HOLYGRAIL.
5. dYdX: the veteran, with Google login
dYdX runs on its own Cosmos chain; log in with Google, email or an EVM, Solana or Cosmos wallet. Fees are 0.050% taker / 0.010% maker, with 50x on BTC and ETH. Its compliance docs and help center block the US, Canada, the UK and sanctioned regions, and a wallet that connects from one of them is switched to close-only mode. We have no dYdX code: dydx.trade.
6. Pacifica: Solana perps
Pacifica is a Solana perp DEX with off-chain matching: 0.040% taker / 0.015% maker, 50x on BTC and ETH, a Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack and others) or social login. Its June 2026 terms exclude the US, Canada, the UK, China, Russia, Ukraine, the Philippines and others. No code: app.pacifica.fi.
7. Ondo Perps: stocks, indices and gold
Ondo Perps trades US stocks, indices, gold and crypto as perps, 24/7: 40x on BTC and 25x on ETH, gold, the US500 and US100 indices (its market API, October 14, 2026). Wallet or email sign-in; the docs describe no KYC step. One caveat for a no-KYC list: its Terms (clause 2(k)) let it request AML documents and freeze a connected wallet's assets if you refuse, so it sits closer to Aster than to Hyperliquid on this point. Fees are 0.025% taker / 0.010% maker while its 50%-off promo runs. It excludes the US, Panama, Canada and others, plus any country where the service would need a licence. Code AGHSGT gives 5% off fees.
8. Uniswap (and PancakeSwap): spot swaps on EVM chains
If you only want to swap one token for another, with no leverage, you need a spot DEX rather than a perp exchange. Uniswap (Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base and other EVM chains) is an automated market maker: you swap against liquidity pools, not an order book. The fee is set per pool: 0.30% on v2, tiers of 0.01%, 0.05%, 0.30% or 1% on v3, and any level on v4. Uniswap Labs has charged no interface fee since December 27, 2025, and you also pay network gas. No sign-in beyond connecting a wallet.
PancakeSwap is the equivalent on BNB Chain (and several other chains): connect a wallet, and its Smart Router picks pools and shows the fee and route in the swap details before you sign. Its website terms, like Uniswap's, exclude sanctioned persons and US-sanctioned jurisdictions. Its newer perps product runs on Aster's order book with a 0.03% PancakeSwap builder fee on top of Aster's fee, and that product bars the US, Canada, the UK, China, both Koreas, Russia, Ukraine and sanctioned countries. For perps, going to Aster directly avoids the extra fee.
9. Jupiter: spot swaps on Solana
Jupiter routes Solana swaps across many pools for the best price. Its developer docs list a platform fee of 0.02% on SOL–stablecoin pairs and 0.10% on most other pairs (0.50% on tokens less than 24 hours old) on top of pool fees, and the app shows the exact fee before you sign. Its terms exclude the US, Singapore and a list of sanctioned countries.
Spot DEXs are the no-KYC way to get into the token you need, for example USDC for margin or SOL for gas. For anything leveraged, the perp venues above have far deeper books and lower costs per trade. The DEX vs CEX fee comparison shows how both stack up against Binance and Bybit.
Pick your no-KYC venue
Hyperliquid for depth (code HOLYGRAIL, 4% off), Lighter for 0% fees (718610TD), Aster for 1001x (DTLpLc), edgeX for 100x and stock perps (HOLYGRAIL).
4. What "no KYC" does not mean
- It is not anonymity. Blockchains are public ledgers. Your deposits, withdrawals and, on Hyperliquid and Lighter, every order and fill can be looked up by address. Block explorers and analytics firms link addresses together, and if any of your wallets was ever funded from a verified exchange, that exchange knows who you are. Aster encrypts order data on Aster Chain, but deposits and withdrawals are still visible.
- It does not remove KYC from fiat. Turning cash into crypto, or crypto back into your bank account, runs through regulated businesses such as exchanges, card processors and on-ramp providers, and they verify ID. The KYC happens once, at the edge; the DEX just doesn't repeat it.
- It does not remove taxes. Tax depends on your residence, not on your exchange's paperwork. Perp profits, funding income and token swaps are taxable events in most countries. DEXs don't issue statements (in the US, Form 1099-DA comes from brokers that sell for you, and the IRS says generally only US brokers must file), so export your trade, funding and transfer history yourself and see our DEX tax guide.
- It does not guarantee access forever. Interfaces screen by country and can change their terms; Aster's terms already reserve limited identity checks. Your funds stay withdrawable because they are self-custodied, but the easy front door can close.
- An email login is not KYC, but it is data. Hyperliquid, Aster, edgeX, dYdX and Ondo Perps accept email sign-in, which creates a wallet for you. No documents are involved, but the operator does hold that email address.
5. "No-KYC" centralized exchanges: what they require now
Most "best no-KYC exchange" lists are built around centralized exchanges (CEXs) that once let you sign up with just an email. We read each one's own help center on September 27, 2026. Half of the usual names now require ID:
| Exchange | What its own help center says | Page dated | Custody |
|---|---|---|---|
| MEXC | Required. Its help center says users "are required to complete KYC verification to access products and services"; even the lowest level (Primary KYC) needs a photo of an ID document. | June 20, 2025 and April 2, 2026 | Custodial (the exchange holds your coins) |
| Bybit | "Identity Verification of at least Standard level is mandatory for all Bybit products and services." Standard means proof of identity. | August 20, 2026 | Custodial (the exchange holds your coins) |
| BingX | Effectively required: without identity verification you "will be unable to make deposits, use P2P Trading, join Launchpad". | April 10, 2024 | Custodial (the exchange holds your coins) |
| WEEX | Required: "you are required to complete KYC identity verification via the Sumsub system" (ID photo plus a liveness check). | June 9, 2025; restated September 3, 2026 | Custodial (the exchange holds your coins) |
| CoinEx | Optional. Unverified accounts can trade spot, margin and futures; withdrawals are capped at $10,000 per 24 hours and $50,000 per 30 days; no fiat. | February 6, 2026 | Custodial (the exchange holds your coins) |
| Toobit | Optional for trading: users "are free to directly trade Spot and Futures without any KYC identification"; buying with a card needs KYC; the policy is "subject to change". | August 1, 2025 | Custodial (the exchange holds your coins) |
| BloFin | Optional. New accounts start at Basic (Lv 0) with a 20,000 USDT 24-hour withdrawal limit; ID plus a selfie raises it. | March 6, 2026 | Custodial (the exchange holds your coins) |
| KCEX | Optional per its guide: KYC "unlocks higher withdrawal limits". The page does not state the unverified limit. | November 2, 2024 | Custodial (the exchange holds your coins) |
Sources: MEXC Help Center "Why is KYC Verification Necessary?" and "Common Questions About KYC Verification"; Bybit Help Center "FAQ — Individual KYC"; BingX "FAQs on Individual Identity Verification (KYC)"; WEEX Help Center "How do I complete the KYC verification process?"; CoinEx "How to Complete Primary ID Verification (Web)"; Toobit "FAQ about KYC"; BloFin "How to Complete Identity Verification on BloFin?"; KCEX "How to Complete Identity Verification (KYC)?". All read September 27, 2026. We have no referral relationship with any of them.
We don't recommend any of them for no-KYC trading, for three reasons:
- The KYC is deferred, not absent. Even the "optional" ones hold your coins, cap unverified withdrawals and describe their policy as subject to change. A verification request tends to arrive when you try to withdraw more than the cap, after your funds are already inside.
- The lists go stale. MEXC, Bybit, BingX and WEEX still appear in "no-KYC" roundups, yet their help centers now require verification. A limit that existed last year is no guarantee today.
- Custody risk. If an unverified CEX freezes your account, is hacked or shuts down, you are an anonymous creditor with little recourse. A DEX can't freeze a self-custody wallet.
If what you want is to trade without handing over documents, a self-custodial DEX solves the problem at the root rather than postponing it.
6. No-KYC swaps, P2P and on-ramps: what needs ID
Many people who search for a "no KYC crypto exchange" really want to swap one coin for another, or buy crypto, without an account. The search results mix directories, swap services and P2P sites for that reason. Here is what each route actually needs from you, checked against the operators' own terms where we name them:
| Route | Examples | ID? | Custody | Who is excluded | Use it for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Swap aggregators (non-custodial) | CoW Swap, 1inch (EVM chains); Jupiter (Solana) | None to swap (1inch can request ID for some features) | Your wallet signs; the interface never holds funds | CoW Swap: sanctioned persons and places. 1inch: sanctioned persons and places, plus regional limits on some features (the UAE, for example); it says access is not restricted by country, the US included. Jupiter: the US, Singapore and sanctioned places | Swap the coin you hold into USDC (margin) or ETH/SOL (gas) |
| Native deposits to a perp DEX | Hyperliquid via Unit (BTC, ETH, SOL to deposit addresses from Unit's guardian network) | None | Unit's guardians hold the native coin; you receive the spot token (UBTC for bitcoin) in your Hyperliquid account | Hyperliquid's restricted persons (US, Ontario, sanctioned) | Bring BTC or SOL in directly (above Unit's minimums), sell it for USDC on the spot market, trade perps |
| Peer-to-peer marketplaces | Bisq, RoboSats, Hodl Hodl | None (Hodl Hodl: email only) | Multisig or Lightning escrow, non-custodial | Varies; you pay the counterparty directly | Buying bitcoin with fiat without an exchange account |
| Instant-swap services | Changelly, SimpleSwap, ChangeNOW, Godex (names the SERP lists) | No account per roundups; current policies not verified by us | Custodial while the swap runs (you send coins to their address) | Not verified by us | Coin-to-coin swaps across chains; not ranked here |
| Card and bank on-ramps | Payment providers inside wallets and DEX apps | Yes: the provider verifies ID | Provider delivers coins to your wallet | Provider's own list | Fiat in. Ondo Perps' Terms, for example, say its on-ramp partners perform the KYC |
Sources: CoW Swap Terms (last updated July 2025: "The Interface and the Protocol are non-custodial"; eligibility excludes sanctioned jurisdictions and listed persons); 1inch.com Terms of Use (last updated September 14, 2026: access "is not restricted by reference to a user's country of residence or location, including for users located in the United States"; sanctioned persons and places excluded; §2 "Regional Availability" says some products or features may be unavailable in certain regions, "including the United Arab Emirates"; §3 "Compliance Checks" say some products and features may require due-diligence checks through a third-party provider "in order to verify your identity"); Jupiter Terms of Use ("Prohibited Localities"); Ondo Perps Terms of Use (August 21, 2026: fiat on-ramp partners handle "identity verification (KYC)"). All read October 14, 2026. Bisq, RoboSats and Hodl Hodl were read on their own sites in September 2026. We have no referral relationship with any of them.
Non-custodial swap aggregators
An aggregator splits your swap across many pools and DEXs to get a better price, and you sign the transaction from your own wallet, so there is no account to open. CoW Swap collects signed orders and lets competing solvers fill them; its terms describe both the interface and the protocol as non-custodial. 1inch routes across EVM chains; its terms (updated September 14, 2026) say access is not restricted by country, US users included, but they also reserve due-diligence checks, including identity verification through a third-party provider, for some products and features, and name regional limits such as the UAE. A plain swap from your wallet asks for nothing. On Solana, Jupiter (#9 above) plays the same role but excludes the US. Network fees and pool fees still apply, and token approvals are the main risk: approve only what you swap.
For a trader, the useful swap is usually into USDC, the margin on every perp DEX in our list. Hyperliquid also takes native BTC, ETH and SOL deposits through Unit that you can sell for USDC on its own spot market, so you may not need a separate swap at all.
Buying crypto without KYC: P2P, instant swaps and card on-ramps
- Peer-to-peer Bitcoin marketplaces. Bisq is open-source desktop software that runs a peer-to-peer network: you trade bitcoin for national currencies (or other cryptocurrencies) directly with another user, the project says "no registration required" and never holds your funds, and both sides lock a security deposit in a 2-of-2 multisig until the trade completes. RoboSats is an open-source, Tor-only P2P exchange on the Lightning Network that describes itself as "KYC-free": you get a random one-time robot identity, and Lightning hold invoices act as the bond and escrow. Hodl Hodl is a web marketplace where you sign up with an email and password; it says "no verification required", never holds your funds, and locks each trade's bitcoin in a multisig escrow contract. It trades bitcoin only. With all three, you settle the fiat side yourself (bank transfer or another payment method agreed with your counterparty), so you rely on the counterparty and on the dispute process, prices usually carry a premium over exchange rates, and your bank sees the payment.
- Instant-swap services. These websites (Changelly, SimpleSwap, ChangeNOW and Godex are the names most lists use) swap one coin for another without an account: you send coin A to a deposit address and receive coin B in your wallet. They are custodial for the few minutes the swap takes, so you depend on the operator until your coins arrive. We haven't verified their current policies from their terms, so we don't rank them.
- Card and bank on-ramps. The "Buy" buttons inside wallets and DEX apps are run by payment providers, and they verify your ID: Ondo Perps' own Terms, for example, say its fiat on-ramp partners are "solely responsible for … performing any identity verification (KYC)". There is no verified no-KYC card on-ramp on this page.
None of these is a place to trade. Aggregators, P2P markets and swap services move you into a coin; they have no order book for leverage, no perps and much wider costs per trade. If your goal is to go long or short, get USDC into your own wallet by whichever route suits you, then trade on a perp DEX. Hyperliquid with code HOLYGRAIL (open it here) is the deepest of them, and the code takes 4% off your fees on your first $25M of volume.
7. How to start trading without KYC, step by step
- Get a self-custody wallet. Rabby or MetaMask for EVM venues (Hyperliquid, Lighter, Aster, edgeX), Phantom or Solflare for Solana (Pacifica, Jupiter). Write the seed phrase on paper, store it offline, and never type it into a website. Hyperliquid, Aster and dYdX also offer email login if you'd rather not install anything. Our wallet guide compares options.
- Fund it. Most people buy USDC or ETH once on a regular (verified) exchange and withdraw to their own wallet. For Hyperliquid, USDC on Arbitrum is the cheapest route (minimum 5 USDC), and many exchanges can withdraw straight to Hyperliquid. Keep a little ETH on Arbitrum for the deposit transaction's gas.
- Open the venue through the official link. Use app.hyperliquid.xyz/join/HOLYGRAIL so the 4% discount is attached before your first trade, and bookmark the page to avoid phishing clones.
- Connect and enable trading. Click Connect, choose your wallet or email, then "Enable Trading", a free signature and not a transaction.
- Deposit. Click Deposit, choose USDC on Arbitrum, approve and confirm. Funds land within minutes; see the deposit guide for other chains.
- Place a small first trade. Switch to isolated margin, pick low leverage (2–5x), set a stop-loss and use a limit order where you can: the maker fee is a third of the taker fee. The full walkthrough is in how to use Hyperliquid.
- Withdraw when you're done. Withdrawals go back to your own wallet; USDC to Arbitrum costs a flat 0.2 USDC plus a tiny HyperEVM gas fee in HYPE. See how to withdraw from Hyperliquid.
8. Risks and a safety checklist
Self-custody removes exchange risk and shifts responsibility to you. The failures we see most often are all avoidable:
- Phishing. Fake front-ends and "support" DMs are the number-one way no-KYC traders lose funds. Type or bookmark the official URL; no real support agent asks for your seed phrase.
- Wrong network or below-minimum deposits. Hyperliquid loses USDC deposits under 5 USDC sent from a wallet; each venue lists supported chains. Send a small test amount first.
- Leverage. 50x, 100x or 1001x means a 2%, 1% or 0.1% move against you wipes the margin. Isolated margin limits the damage to one position.
- Smart-contract, bridge and operator risk. Venues with off-chain matching (Pacifica, Ondo Perps) depend on the operator running things honestly; bridges add another layer. Don't park more than you trade.
- Token approvals. On spot DEXs, approve only the amount you're swapping and revoke old approvals periodically.
- Records. Export your history every month or quarter; you will need it for taxes and it's tedious to rebuild later.
9. Who can't use these venues (including the US)
No-KYC does not mean open to everyone. Each operator names "restricted" or "prohibited" persons in its terms (see the table), and by using the site you declare you're not one of them. Hyperliquid's §1.6, for instance, excludes US residents, Ontario, sanctioned territories and their citizens, and its terms also make you responsible for checking that leveraged trading is legal where you live (the clause and a country-by-country reading are in our guide to Hyperliquid restricted countries). If your country is on a venue's list, that venue is not for you: pick one whose terms include you. We don't give advice on getting around geo-blocks or sanctions, and doing so breaks the terms you accept on sign-up.
US residents: all seven perp DEXs in our table and Jupiter name the United States as restricted. Uniswap's terms exclude only sanctioned persons and US-sanctioned regions, so it is the no-KYC venue on this list that US residents can use, for spot swaps. PancakeSwap's website terms are similar for spot, but its perps product bars the US. Among the swap aggregators in section 6, CoW Swap's terms also exclude only sanctioned persons and places, and 1inch states that access is not restricted by country for US users (September 14, 2026 terms), while reserving identity checks for some products and features. None of this applies to leverage: every perp venue we list excludes the US.
Readers in Japan: none of the nine venues names Japan (Ondo Perps' licence catch-all aside), and Japanese law places the registration duty on the operator, not the user. Our Japanese edition covers the Payment Services Act and Japanese tax treatment in detail.
FAQ
Which crypto exchanges don't require ID verification?
Decentralized exchanges. You connect a self-custody wallet (some also accept an email login) and trade without uploading ID. For futures, Hyperliquid, Lighter, Aster, edgeX, dYdX, Pacifica and Ondo Perps ask for no identity documents in their sign-up flow (terms re-read October 14, 2026); for spot swaps, Uniswap on Ethereum and its L2s, PancakeSwap and Jupiter on Solana. Among centralized exchanges, CoinEx, Toobit and BloFin still let you trade without ID according to their own help centers (read September 27, 2026), with withdrawal caps, while MEXC, Bybit, BingX and WEEX now require verification.
What is the best no-KYC crypto exchange?
For trading, Hyperliquid: it has the deepest order book of any DEX ($4–8B of perp volume a day in October 2026), 178 perp markets (as of October 20, 2026), gas-free orders and a 0.045% base taker fee, cut by 4% on your first $25M with a referral code. Lighter is the pick if you want 0% trading fees; Uniswap and Jupiter if you only want to swap tokens.
Is there a no-KYC futures exchange?
Yes. Perpetual futures DEXs are the no-KYC futures exchanges: Hyperliquid (BTC up to 40x), Lighter (50x), edgeX (100x on BTC and ETH), dYdX (50x), Pacifica (50x), Ondo Perps (40x on BTC) and Aster (up to 1001x in its 1001x mode). You post USDC as margin from your own wallet and nobody asks for a passport.
Is there a no-KYC swap or on-ramp?
Swaps, yes; fiat on-ramps, generally no. Non-custodial swap aggregators such as CoW Swap and 1inch (EVM chains) and Jupiter (Solana) route a swap from your own wallet with no account. CoW Swap's terms exclude sanctioned persons and places; 1inch's terms (updated September 14, 2026) say access is not restricted by country, the US included, but reserve due-diligence and identity checks for some products and features and name regional limits such as the UAE. Hyperliquid also accepts native BTC, ETH and SOL deposits through Unit, which you can sell for USDC on its spot market. Card and bank on-ramps are different: the payment provider verifies your ID.
Which no-KYC exchanges can US residents use?
Very few of the trading venues. Every perp DEX in our table (Hyperliquid, Lighter, Aster, edgeX, dYdX, Pacifica, Ondo Perps) names the United States as restricted in its terms, and so does Jupiter. Uniswap's terms exclude only sanctioned persons and US-sanctioned regions, so US residents can use it for spot swaps; PancakeSwap's website terms are similar, but its perps product bars the US. For swaps, CoW Swap's terms also exclude only sanctioned persons and places, and 1inch's say access is not restricted by country, the US included (some 1inch features can still require identity checks). We don't suggest VPNs: using a venue from a restricted country breaks the terms you accept.
Is no-KYC crypto legal?
Using a self-custody wallet and a DEX that doesn't ask for ID is legal in most countries, but it depends on where you live. Each DEX excludes some jurisdictions in its terms, and leveraged trading is regulated differently from country to country. If you are a restricted person (for example a US resident on Hyperliquid), you are not allowed to use the service, and getting around a geo-block breaks the terms. Taxes apply either way.
Where can I buy crypto without KYC?
Not through a regular exchange or card on-ramp, which verify ID. The no-account routes are peer-to-peer marketplaces: Bisq (open-source desktop software, no registration, deposits held in 2-of-2 multisig), RoboSats (a Tor-only Lightning P2P exchange that calls itself KYC-free) and Hodl Hodl (email sign-up, "no verification required", non-custodial multisig escrow, bitcoin only). You pay another user directly by bank transfer or another agreed method, so prices usually carry a premium and you depend on the counterparty and the dispute process. For trading rather than buying, move USDC to your own wallet and use a perp DEX such as Hyperliquid.
Can I sell USDT without KYC?
You can swap USDT for another coin on a DEX without ID, but turning it into money in your bank account runs through an exchange or payment provider that verifies you. The only no-account route to fiat is peer-to-peer: a buyer on a P2P marketplace pays you directly, with the counterparty and bank-transfer risks that come with it. The sale is still a taxable disposal in most countries.
Can I buy crypto with a card or bank transfer without KYC?
Generally no. Card and bank on-ramps, including the ones built into wallets and DEX apps, are run by payment providers that verify identity under anti-money-laundering rules. Toobit's own KYC FAQ, for example, lets you trade without ID but requires KYC to buy with a card. The usual route is to buy on a verified exchange once, withdraw to your own wallet, and use DEXs from there.
Can a no-KYC exchange freeze my funds or ask for ID later?
On a fully on-chain DEX there is no account to freeze: your funds sit under your own key, and the company running the website can only refuse to serve you. Two venues in our list reserve more: Aster's Terms (§2.3) allow limited identity verification, and Ondo Perps, which matches orders off-chain, says in clause 2(k) of its Terms that it can request AML documents and freeze a connected wallet's assets if you don't provide them. Centralized exchanges that let you start without ID are different: they hold your coins, cap unverified withdrawals (CoinEx at $10,000 a day, BloFin at 20,000 USDT) and can require verification before releasing funds.
Does no KYC mean my trades are anonymous?
No. Every deposit, withdrawal and, on most DEXs, every fill is recorded on a public blockchain. If your wallet ever received funds from a verified exchange, the trail leads back to you. No KYC means the exchange does not hold your documents; it does not make you invisible.
Do I pay tax on trades made without KYC? Will I get a 1099-DA?
Yes, you pay tax in almost every country: it depends on where you are resident, not on whether the exchange checked your ID. In the US, Form 1099-DA is filed by digital-asset brokers that sell for customers, and the IRS instructions say generally only US brokers must report, so don't expect one from an offshore DEX. You still report the gains yourself. Export your trade, funding and transfer history and keep it with your records.
Is it safe to use a no-KYC DEX?
The venue never holds your keys, so there is no exchange account to be hacked or frozen, but you take on other risks: smart-contract and bridge bugs, phishing sites, wrong-network deposits and liquidation on leveraged positions. Bookmark the official URL, use a separate trading wallet, start with a small deposit and use isolated margin.
