To deposit on Aster: open the app, pick your chain (BNB Chain, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Solana, Robinhood and Arc) and connect a wallet, then open Account → Deposit, choose the token and amount and approve. Aster charges 0 USDT on its side and credits the deposit in 1–5 minutes. To withdraw, open Withdraw, pick network, token and amount, and approve: it takes about 30 seconds, and the network fee comes off the amount — 0.11 USDT to BNB Chain and 0.51 USDT to Ethereum, Arbitrum or Solana on October 15, 2026. Email-login accounts can deposit USDT on Arbitrum One only.
Also good to know. Perps settle in USDT; Single-Asset Mode accepts USDT and USD1 as margin, Multi-Asset Mode many more. Scroll no longer takes deposits. Withdrawal blocked? Clear the negative balance with Rebalance. Aster’s docs list no deposit bonus. Once funded, trading costs 0% maker / 0.04% taker on crypto perps (breakdown in section 9); the venue overview is in our Aster review.
1. How to deposit on Aster, step by step
- Open the app. Go to asterdex.com (our referral link opens the same site) and click Launch App.
- Choose the chain first. Use the chain dropdown next to Connect Wallet to pick the network your funds are on, then connect. On BNB Chain the wallet must hold at least 0.001 BNB to connect. Supported wallets are Rabby, MetaMask, Binance Wallet and anything that speaks WalletConnect; on Solana, a Solana wallet such as Phantom.
- Sign. Approve the signature request in your wallet. It is a message, not a transaction, so it costs no gas.
- Open Account → Deposit. Keep Perpetual Account selected (choose Spot only if you want to trade spot), pick the network and the token, and type the amount.
- Approve and confirm. ERC-20 and BEP-20 tokens may ask for a one-time spending approval, then the deposit itself. You pay the source chain’s gas; Aster’s own fee is 0 USDT.
- Wait for the credit. The Aster Chain docs put deposits at 1–5 minutes, with Ethereum taking longer when blocks are slow or gas is high. The balance then shows in Portfolio and in the account panel on the trading screen. Next step, your first order: how to trade Aster perpetuals.

Depositing straight from an exchange
For the Spot account Aster documents a direct route from a centralized exchange: copy your Aster Spot deposit address from Account → Deposit, choose the matching network on the exchange (the docs’ example is USDT on BEP-20) and withdraw to it. Always double-check that network and address match; Aster says it is not liable for refunds on wrong-network deposits. If you trade perps, move the funds from Spot to Perpetual with the Transfer tab (section 11).
2. Supported chains and assets (October 2026)
The public asset API behind the Deposit and Withdraw dialogs returned perps-account assets for six chains on October 15, 2026, the same six as in September, with no minimum deposit on any asset. Robinhood and Arc each carry a single stablecoin, and MUB (a tokenized Micron share) is the newest BNB Chain asset:
| Chain | Deposit to perps | Withdraw from perps |
|---|---|---|
| BNB Chain | USDT, USD1, USDC, USDF, U, BNB, asBNB, slisBNB, WBETH, BTC, ETH, ASTER, CAKE, LISTA, lisUSD, TWT + tokenized stocks (TSLAB, NVDAB, CRCLB, SNDKB, SPCXB, SKHYB, MUB) | Same, plus STONE, SolvBTC, FBTC |
| Ethereum | USDT, USD1, USDC, ETH, U | Same, plus BTC, rsETH, FBTC |
| Arbitrum | USDT, USDC, USDC.e, ETH | Same four |
| Solana | USDT, USDC, USD1, SOL, JLP | Same five |
| Robinhood | USDG only | USDG only |
| Arc | USDC only | USDC only |
Source: Aster public API deposit/assets and withdraw/assets (accountType=perp), October 15, 2026, 06:54 UTC. “U”, USDF and USDG are stablecoins; the “…B” tickers are tokenized stocks. Scroll sideways on mobile.
What happened to Scroll? The old asterdex.com/deposit page still shows BSC, ETH, Arbitrum and Scroll tabs, but that page is a leftover of the 2024 Au-points campaign, which accepted Scroll deposits. The same API returns no Scroll assets, and Scroll is missing from the network list in today’s Deposit dialog, so do not send funds from Scroll. BNB Chain has by far the widest list, including Aster’s own USDF and asBNB and the tokenized stocks that trade on Aster’s RWA markets.
3. How Aster processes deposits and withdrawals
Aster matches trades on Aster Chain, its own layer-1, but your money starts on a chain you already use. Depositing means sending tokens into Aster’s deposit bridge on that chain; the Aster Chain documentation says each cross-chain deposit is processed once 3 of 4 validator nodes verify it, and every bridge operation is validator-signed and verifiable on-chain. Withdrawals go the other way, in batches, and are confirmed once 2 of 3 validators sign. Since June 2025 the network fee is deducted from the withdrawal amount rather than paid separately.
Your Aster account has separate balances for Perpetual (the order-book “Pro” futures, plus Shield Mode and 1001x) and Spot. Perps settle in USDT. Sub-accounts have their own balances and API keys. New to perp DEXs in general? See what is a DEX.
4. Wallet, email and spot routes compared
| Route | Networks | Assets | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Web3 wallet → Perps | BNB Chain, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Solana, Robinhood and Arc | Any listed asset on that chain | Pick the chain before connecting; hold ≥ 0.001 BNB to connect on BNB Chain |
| Email login → Perps | Arbitrum One only | USDT only | Wrong token = manual retrieval flow, you pay the gas |
| Exchange or wallet → Spot | BNB Chain (BEP-20) | Spot tokens, e.g. USDT, ASTER | Copy the address from Account → Deposit |
Aster’s roadmap also lists a fiat on-ramp and off-ramp through third-party providers; availability depends on your country and the provider, so treat it as optional and compare its fee with buying stablecoins on an exchange you already use.
5. Email-login accounts: the USDT-on-Arbitrum rule
Aster lets you sign up with just an email: enter it, type the 6-digit code, set a password and sign a pop-up, and Aster generates a wallet address for you. The catch is in the docs in bold: email accounts can only receive USDT on Arbitrum One only. You can send it from a Web3 wallet or an exchange, but nothing else is credited automatically.
If you sent the wrong token (USDC instead of USDT is the classic mistake) Aster documents a retrieval flow: log in, click Withdraw, tick the third option, pick the network (BNB, ETH, ARB or SOL) and token, enter a destination address and click Transfer. The email-linked wallet must hold that network’s gas token (BNB, ETH or SOL) to pay for it. If you plan to deposit anything other than Arbitrum USDT, use a wallet login instead.
6. Which deposits count as margin
Aster perps settle in USDT, and what you can trade with depends on the collateral mode:
- Single-Asset Mode: collateral is USDT or USD1, margin is allocated per position and each position’s PnL is separate.
- Multi-Asset Mode: many cryptocurrencies, including restaked tokens, count as collateral at a collateral value ratio (BTC and ETH at 95%, SOL at 90%, ASTER at 80%), margin is shared and PnL nets across positions. It works in cross margin only.
So a USDC, ETH, BNB, SOL, USDG or Arc-USDC deposit only backs a position once you are in Multi-Asset Mode. In that mode Aster automatically exchanges other collateral into USDT when your balance falls to −$10,000, when the account is being liquidated without enough USDT, or when your loan-to-value reaches 0.995 with no positions or orders. Keeping a USDT buffer avoids forced conversions.

7. How to withdraw from Aster, step by step
- Check for a negative balance in any asset and clear it first (section 10). Withdrawals are blocked until it is resolved.
- Open Account → Withdraw on the trading screen (in the mobile app: Assets → Withdraw) and keep Perpetual Account selected.
- Select the network, token and amount. You can withdraw to a different chain from the one you deposited on, as long as the token is on that chain’s withdraw list (for example, USDT to BNB Chain even if you deposited on Arbitrum).
- Read the two lines under the amount. Withdrawable Amount is what you can take out now (it excludes margin in use and any same-day-profit limit); Transaction Fee is the network fee that comes off the amount.
- Confirm and approve in your wallet. Chain-side processing takes about 30 seconds; Ethereum takes longer.

For Spot, the docs route withdrawals over BNB Chain: go to Assets → Withdraw (app) or Account → Withdraw (web), choose the token, paste the destination (an exchange deposit address or your wallet) and confirm. ASTER, USDT, USD1, USDC, BNB, BTC and ETH were all on the Spot withdraw list on October 15, 2026; if a spot token is missing from that list, transfer it to the Perpetual account and withdraw it from there (Aster’s CDL tutorial gives this route).
8. Aster withdrawal fee by chain
The Transaction Fee line in the Withdraw dialog comes from a public Aster endpoint that quotes the fee per chain and token. These were the quotes on October 15, 2026; the stablecoin fees were the same as on September 27, while the native-coin amounts move with the coin’s price (the endpoint targets a fixed dollar amount):
| Destination chain | Stablecoin withdrawal fee | Native coin | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| BNB Chain | 0.11 USDT (USDT, USDC or USD1) | 0.00014 BNB | Cheapest stablecoin route to most exchanges (BEP-20) |
| Ethereum | 0.51 USDT (USDT or USDC) | 0.00022 ETH | Slowest; use it only if the receiving side needs ERC-20 |
| Arbitrum | 0.51 USDT (USDT or USDC) | 0.00022 ETH | Same quote as Ethereum on stablecoins |
| Solana | 0.51 USDT (USDT or USDC) | 0.0010 SOL | SOL itself is cheaper to withdraw than stablecoins |
| Robinhood | 0.1001 USDG | — | USDG is the only asset |
| Arc | 0.1001 USDC | — | USDC is the only asset |
Source: Aster public API estimate-withdraw-fee (the Withdraw dialog’s Transaction Fee), October 15, 2026, 06:54 UTC. The fee is in the token you withdraw and is deducted from the amount. Quotes change with network costs; check the dialog before you confirm.
Why other guides give different numbers. Aster’s Chain documentation says the minimum withdrawal fee “may be as low as 1 USDT”, one exchange blog quotes a flat $0.10, and a Japanese guide quotes 0.02 USDT. The fee depends on the destination chain — 0.11 USDT to BNB Chain and 0.1001 USDC to Arc, but 0.51 USDT to Ethereum, Arbitrum or Solana for stablecoins on the day we checked — and it is taken from the amount you withdraw. The practical rule: withdraw stablecoins over BNB Chain when the receiving exchange or wallet supports BEP-20, and batch small withdrawals into one.
Worked example. Withdrawing 1,000 USDT to BNB Chain delivers 999.89 USDT; the same amount to Ethereum delivers 999.49 USDT. If you also traded a $10,000 BTC position in and out with market orders at 0.04%, the taker fees were $8, far more than either withdrawal fee. 9. Deposit, withdrawal and trading costs at a glance
Everything you pay on Aster in one table, from the deposit to the trade. Moving money costs cents; the trading fee and funding are what add up, so the trading rows link to the full Aster DEX fees guide.
| Action | Cost | Time (Aster docs) |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit | 0 USDT on the Aster side; you pay source-chain gas | 1–5 minutes; Ethereum longer |
| Withdrawal | Network fee deducted from the amount: 0.11 USDT (BNB Chain) to 0.51 USDT (Ethereum, Arbitrum, Solana) | about 30 seconds; Ethereum longer |
| Spot ↔ Perpetual transfer | Internal, no on-chain withdrawal | — |
| Crypto perps (order book) | 0% maker / 0.04% taker (VIP tiers lower it) | — |
| Group B crypto perps | 0% maker / 0.1% taker | — |
| RWA perps, USD1 RWA perps | 0% maker / 0.0125% taker | — |
| Paying spot fees in ASTER | 5% discount (spot only) | — |
Aster’s own Deposit & Withdrawal Guide has a “Processing Times” heading whose reference table is empty; the times above come from the Aster Chain overview page.
10. Limits: deposits, withdrawals and negative balances
Deposit limits
The asset API reports no minimum deposit. Aster’s public collateral-limit endpoint shows no cap for USDT, USDC, USD1, USDF, BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL and ASTER, while some tokenized stocks and staking tokens have per-asset caps; the changelog says the app warns you before a deposit that exceeds the platform limit. In practice the gas on the source chain and the withdrawal fee make very small deposits uneconomic.
Withdrawal limits
Aster’s changelog (June 2025) says you have full access to profits older than 24 hours and that same-day profits can be withdrawn only up to a daily limit. Aster does not publish that limit, and the platform-wide caps some third-party guides quote are not in Aster’s documentation, so we do not repeat them. The number that matters is the Withdrawable Amount in your dialog. If a large fresh profit will not come out in full, wait a day or withdraw in parts. Margin locked by open positions or orders cannot leave the account either.
Negative balances block withdrawals
Because perps settle in USDT while Multi-Asset Mode lets you post other collateral, realized losses, funding fees or trading commissions can push one asset below zero even though the account as a whole is solvent. Aster’s rule is simple: you must resolve any negative balance before withdrawing.
- Rebalance: click Withdraw on the token showing the negative balance, then Rebalance. It converts other collateral to cover it and appears as “auto-conversion” in your transaction history.
- Or deposit the shortfall: send exactly the missing amount of that token.
Negative balances also cost interest. Since April 9, 2026, Aster charges hourly interest on a negative USDT or USD1 balance in Multi-Asset Mode beyond a free threshold of −$1,000 (each asset counted separately); the current annualised rate is 4%. A −$2,000 balance pays interest on the $1,000 beyond the threshold, and the charge reduces your margin balance, so clear negative balances promptly even if you are not withdrawing.
11. Moving funds between Spot and Perpetual
The Transfer tab sits next to Deposit and Withdraw in the same Account dialog. It moves a balance between your Perpetual and Spot accounts inside Aster, so no bridge, validator batch or network fee is involved. Use it when an exchange deposit landed in Spot but you want to trade perps, when you want to buy spot tokens with perps profits, and when a spot token is not on the Spot withdraw list (move it to Perpetual first, as Aster’s CDL tutorial describes). Grid bots move margin automatically: creating a grid transfers its initial margin from your Perpetual account, and closing it returns what is left.
12. Is there an Aster deposit bonus?
Searchers often ask this because asterdex.com/deposit still carries the headline “Deposit to Earn Point Multiplier”. That page belongs to Aster’s Stage 0 campaign (from June 2024), which paid Au points for deposits; the changelog says the Au points program sunset in June 2025. The current points stage scores trading, position size and time, PnL, liquidations and using Aster assets such as ASTER, asBNB or USDF as margin; the deposit itself earns nothing. Some older guides list a newcomer task that paid points for a first deposit; that belonged to earlier stages, so check the app’s Rewards menu for whatever is running when you join. Our referral code DTLpLc links your account to us, and with it 5% of your Aster Perps fees comes back to you as a next-day rebate (see Aster referral code).
13. Troubleshooting: deposit not showing, withdrawal stuck
- Deposit not credited after 1–5 minutes: open the transaction on the source chain’s explorer. A successful deposit is a transfer to Aster’s deposit bridge on that chain (table below). If it went there and is confirmed, check Deposit / Withdraw History in the app; Ethereum can take longer. If it is still missing well past the usual time, contact Aster on its official Discord (discord.gg/invite/asterdefi, listed on the docs’ Official Links page) with the hash.
- Sent to the wrong address or chain: if the explorer shows the funds did not go to a bridge contract, they are not on Aster. Wrong-network deposits are not refunded by Aster; email accounts have the retrieval flow in section 5.
- Cannot connect on BNB Chain: the wallet needs at least 0.001 BNB.
- Deposit went to Spot, not Perps: use Transfer to move it to the Perpetual account.
- Collateral shows but you cannot open a position: assets other than USDT and USD1 only count in Multi-Asset Mode.
- Withdrawal rejected or smaller than expected: negative balance (Rebalance), margin in use, or the same-day profit limit; the Withdrawable Amount line tells you which amount is free.
- Tax software shows a missing deposit: your wallet history shows a transfer to the bridge contract, not a trade. Label it as a transfer to your own Aster account and export your trade history from Aster (the transaction history is exportable) for the trades.
- Phishing: bookmark asterdex.com and ignore “support” DMs; a real deposit never needs your seed phrase.

14. FAQ
How do I deposit on Aster DEX?
Open the app at asterdex.com, pick the chain your funds are on (BNB Chain, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Solana, Robinhood and Arc), connect your wallet and sign. Then open Account → Deposit, keep Perpetual Account selected, choose the network, token and amount, and approve the transaction in your wallet. Aster charges 0 USDT on its side; you pay only the source chain’s gas, and the balance usually appears in 1–5 minutes.
How long does an Aster deposit take?
Aster’s Chain documentation gives 1–5 minutes: a deposit is credited once 3 of 4 Aster Chain validators verify it. Ethereum deposits can take longer when blocks are slow or gas is high. If yours is not showing after that, check the transaction on the source chain’s explorer against Aster’s deposit bridge contract, then Deposit / Withdraw History in the app.
How much is the Aster withdrawal fee?
Aster deducts a network fee from the amount you withdraw, set by the destination chain. On October 15, 2026 the fee quote the Withdraw dialog uses was 0.11 USDT to BNB Chain, 0.51 USDT to Ethereum, Arbitrum or Solana for stablecoins, 0.1001 USDG on Robinhood and 0.1001 USDC on Arc. The docs still say the minimum fee “may be as low as 1 USDT”, so treat the dialog’s Transaction Fee line as the final word.
What else does Aster charge besides withdrawal fees?
Moving money is cheap: deposits cost 0 USDT on Aster’s side and withdrawals only the destination-chain fee (0.11 USDT to BNB Chain on October 15, 2026). Trading is the bigger cost: crypto perps charge 0% maker and 0.04% taker at the entry VIP tier, Group B pairs 0.1% taker, RWA perps 0.0125% taker, and funding is paid between traders every 8, 4 or 1 hours. Every rate, VIP tier and worked example: Aster DEX fees.
What is the Aster referral code?
Our Aster referral code is DTLpLc. Open the referral link before you connect a wallet or email for the first time, and 5% of the trading fees you pay on Aster Perps comes back to you as a next-day rebate for 365 days. It never raises your fees. How the rebate is credited and how to check the code is attached: Aster referral code DTLpLc.
Do I need to bridge funds to Aster Chain myself?
No. You deposit on the chain your funds are already on (BNB Chain, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Solana, Robinhood and Arc) and the app’s deposit flow on that chain (Aster’s bridge contract; the addresses for BNB Chain, Ethereum, Arbitrum and Solana are in the section 13 table) hands the deposit to Aster Chain, where 3 of 4 validators verify it, usually in 1–5 minutes. There is no separate bridge app to use and no gas on Aster Chain itself; you pay only the source chain’s gas. Withdrawals run the same bridge in reverse, to any chain on the withdraw list.
Where is the official Aster Discord for deposit problems?
Aster’s Official Links page lists its Discord as discord.gg/invite/asterdefi (alongside x.com/Aster_DEX and t.me/AsterDEX), and its deposit guide says to ask there if funds arrive significantly later than the usual times. Have the transaction hash from the source chain’s explorer ready. Aster staff never need your seed phrase or private key; ignore anyone who direct-messages you offering “support”.
How do I withdraw from Aster?
Open Account → Withdraw, keep Perpetual Account, choose the destination network, the token and the amount, check the Withdrawable Amount and Transaction Fee lines, then confirm and approve in your wallet. Withdrawals are batched on Aster Chain and take about 30 seconds (Ethereum longer). Clear any negative balance first or the withdrawal is blocked.
Are there withdrawal limits on Aster?
Aster’s changelog says profits older than 24 hours can be withdrawn in full and same-day profits only up to a daily limit, but Aster does not publish the figure; the Withdrawable Amount line in the Withdraw dialog shows what you can take out right now. Margin used by open positions and orders is not withdrawable, and a negative balance blocks withdrawals until you clear it.
Is there an Aster deposit bonus?
Aster’s documentation lists none today. The asterdex.com/deposit page still carries the title “Deposit to Earn Point Multiplier”, but that was the Stage 0 Au-points campaign from 2024, and Aster’s changelog says the Au points program sunset in June 2025. The current points stage rewards trading, positions, PnL and using Aster assets such as ASTER, asBNB or USDF as margin, not the deposit itself. Older guides that mention points for a first deposit describe earlier stages; check the Rewards menu in the app for any task running when you sign up.
Can I transfer between Spot and Perpetual accounts on Aster?
Yes. The Transfer tab next to Deposit and Withdraw moves funds between your Perpetual and Spot accounts inside Aster, with no on-chain withdrawal involved. You need it when a deposit landed in Spot but you want to trade perps, and for any spot token that is missing from the Spot withdraw list: move it to Perpetual and withdraw from there (Aster’s CDL tutorial describes exactly this).
What happens if I have a negative balance on Aster?
In Multi-Asset Mode, losses, funding or fees can push USDT or USD1 below zero while you hold other collateral. You must clear it before withdrawing: click Withdraw on that token, then Rebalance (shown as “auto-conversion” in history), or deposit the shortfall. Beyond −$1,000 the negative part pays interest hourly (currently 4% a year), and at −$10,000 Aster converts other collateral automatically.
Which assets can I deposit to Aster?
For the perpetuals account on October 15, 2026: a long list on BNB Chain (USDT, USD1, USDC, USDF, BNB, ETH, BTC, ASTER, liquid-staking and tokenized-stock tokens); USDT, USD1, USDC, ETH and U on Ethereum; USDT, USDC, USDC.e and ETH on Arbitrum; USDT, USDC, USD1, SOL and JLP on Solana; USDG on Robinhood; USDC on Arc. Email accounts can only deposit USDT on Arbitrum One only.
I logged in with email and sent USDC instead of USDT. Is it lost?
Not necessarily. Aster documents a retrieval flow: log in, click Withdraw, tick the third option, choose the network (BNB, ETH, ARB or SOL) and the token, enter your address and click Transfer. You pay that network’s gas (BNB, ETH or SOL) from the email-linked wallet, and Aster states it is not liable for refunds on wrong-network deposits.
